Claims office????

I pull up Hertz claim office Orlando on line and i see an office in Miami and not Orlando but i was contacted by someone in Orlando. I recieved a letter with a return address that has a p.o. box. Little concerned on trying to settle a claim and was told i will not get an email to confirm payment but they want me to mail my credit card info which they got when i rented the car. Ridiculous request when fraud has already happened to me. Horrible experience with what happened and continues with rental car company.

Hit and run by a Hertz car- $7000 in damage to my car

My truck was legally parked on the side of a street when it was hit by a car owned by Hertz. The driver of the Hertz vehicle drove off.

A police report was created which recommended the prosecution of the driver. Hertz was wholly uncooperative in providing information about the driver of their vehicle citing their privacy policy.

So, my car sustained $7000 in damage, covered by my insurance, but a significant depreciation in re-sale value and I'm out $500 deductible. Hertz is protecting a criminal instead of providing information to my insurance company so we can recoup damages.

Hertz and Esis insurance are FRAUDS SCAMMERS. Maliciously avoid paying liability fault

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My car was hit by a Hertz vehicle driven by a Hertz employee. The employee was reckless driving while on the phone with employer (Hertz).

I Filed a claim and after numerous calls and letter they promised to pay 100%. They are 100% at fault. Hertz sends me to ESIS. Esis returns calls or letters only after multiple attempts and after filing a complaint with BBB and consumer affairs.

They also low ball the cost to fix car. NO ONE will fix car for the amount they want to pay.. After few more estimates and 2 month later they sent a check to WRONG address. Nearly 3 months later, over 100 calls, emails, letters still waiting for payment to repair car.

I received a call from a supervisor Rose Miller who is only an adjuster that was FIRED from her previous job to tell me to have patience. 3 MONTHS!!!

They are intentionally avoiding to pay hoping we go away. I should sue for our backaches and headaches since my accident.

Thank you for the info. Same here....

After 2 month of reporting the accident, I am still waiting for a phone call since then, I have made several phone calls and no body return my phone calls, neither the Emails.

They are trying to avoid the compromise to pay for the damages to my car. I am very upset with these company.

My situation is much worse! I was in an accident on May 18th, 2018 in a rented Hertz Nissan 2017 Rogue.

Left side frontal impact at approximately 35 mph, the airbags didn't deploy. I did sustain injuries and a Police report was filed. The other vehicle was totally at fault. Through extensive research, I discovered a lengthy history of airbags not deploying on the Rogue Model vehicles going back to the 2008 model year causing serious injuries.

Why is my vehicle a 2017 and the issue still exists? Contacted Nissan filing a complaint along with ESIS. Have claims numbers from BOTH COMPANIES! Been trying to get the vehicle inspected by Nissan ever since the accident occurred, continuously contacting Nissan and ESIS.

Gone as high ranking as, Geoffrey Lundy, Claims Supervisor with ESIS, nothing but continuous lies and deceit! Now.

since I sent the information to Lundy regarding my demands of having my own qualified mechanic inspect the vehicle, he has there Attorney contact me. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY FRAUD SCAMMING LIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going through the same thing now. Have a claim number contact by one rep , sent to another, called once, and never contacted again.

Guest

Dealing with nearly identical situation

Guest

I am dealing with a similar issues. A hertz customer totalled my vehicle.

So far it has been 8 months since the accident and the issue is still not resolved, and ESIS is refusing to cover my total out of pocket expenses and loss of use. Complete crooks!

File a claim with BBB and consumer affairs as well as the state insurance commission office. Do all 3 you will get resolution faster.

Unfortunately that’s the only thing that moved everything. They play too many games to avoid paying hoping you give up.

Don’t let them get away with it. The state attorney’s office will get involve if everyone complains.

I am dealing with the same issues. I am contacting the BBB, consumer affairs, and state of GA insurance commission.

Guest

I have had the same issue and something has to be done about this!!!!

I had a very similar experience. Avoid at all costs. They billed me for THEIR RENTAL while my car was being fixed when THEIR insured hit ME!

It's infuriating.

HERTZ-REVISIT YOUR CORE VALUES!!! Car rear-ended by Hertz rental car

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After many phone calls to Hertz to follow up with my claim against other driver of Hertz Rental Car, I was advised that ESIS handled the insurance claims. Had I not persistently called ESIS to follow up they would not have realized that my husband and I were on the accident report.

They initially said we were not listed! And after many unanswered messages left by me, I found out 7 weeks after the accident that my car was declared unsalvageable. I finally received this answer after waiting for close to 2 weeks for the verdict after adjuster came to inspect the car. At one point I had to escalate to the supervisor of the person who had been my contact at ESIS due to lack of returned phone calls/closure .

Again, I had to make the phone calls-sometimes I called 2-3 times in one day!!! Meanwhile my Volvo wagon has major damage and not to mention a gaping hole between the bumper and body of the car. The first adjuster told me it was okay to drive my car. No one offered a rental car nor an apology for oversight.

The kicker is that I just received a letter from ESIS Salvage Specialist requesting that I hand over title to my car and at my expense have their "power of attorney" letter notarized. My car is old, but it is a Volvo and as with my previous wagon, I expected to be driving it until almost 300,000 miles or another 3-4 years. Not only is the sum that ESIS is offering me not even enough to replace my car (same year, mileage) but they will have my old car towed and I will again be without a car and will not be receive settlement check until the title check on my car comes back clear for them.

DON'T GIVE HERTZ YOUR MONEY!!!! The corporation should be ashamed that they have an insurance company that is unprofessional as well as a bunch of thieves.

Hertz Claim Management - Totaled car - Image 2

My car was parked on the side of the road, it was around 2:30 am on 9/11/2016 when my friend and I woke up to an interesting sound outside the house. I ran out front to find my car (fact from police report) 47ft from where I had parked it.

A man driving a Hertz rental car whom was drunk and had been taking cocaine that night/morning hit and totaled my car I've had for less than a year. He had also began TAKING MY BELONGINGS FROM MY CAR!!! I called Hertz the next day due to knowing the guy was in jail. I waited for the phone call back, I called every other day FOR A MONTH with nothing!

I finally called the head of the department and got a response, saying my case had been transferred!? Without telling me! Without a SIMPLE two minute phone call. AND they wont even pay for me to have a rental until I get a new car.......A RENTAL COMPANY!

WITH THOUSANDS OF RENTAL CARS!?!?!?!

They definitely do not put the customer first.

Hertz Claim Management - Auto Claim Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Similar experience - not only a Gold member but a 5-Star Gold Member for renting from Hertz so frequently and INCIDENT FREE! However when my last rental car, a bloody Prius wanna-be, was damaged by a hit and run while I was running errands in downtown Fredericksburg, VA, I was point-blank lied to from the rental office on HWY 17! As soon as I noticed the damage, I called the guys at the Hertz office and explained everything. Since the vehicle was still drivable, I was told to just bring it back on my contracted return date. I was literally in tears when I called them bexcuse nothing like this had ever happened to me before. When I returned the car, I filled out the yellow incident report in complete detail, which again got me teary eyed . The guy at the counter explained that the Visa credit card I had used to rent the car would cover the cost of any damages. He told me to WAIT UNTIL I RECEIVED A BILL FROM HERTZ CLAIM DEPT AND THEN CONTACT VISA WITHIN 90 DAYS. We'll, I NEVER received anything in writing from Hertz which led me to believe that Hertz and Visa had already handled everything somehow. Then I get a call from a Florida number, which I sent to voicemail because I screen all my calls, telling me I was being sent to collections for the cost of the damages. I immediately called the number back and explained everything from the very beginning. The woman I spoke with was helpful but rude and practically insinuated that I was making the whole thing up. Still, I did exactly as she instructed me to do and contacted Visa to file the claim, which I had just discovered should have been filed at the time of the incident! So I fill out the claim form online with Visa, once again explaining everything in detail from the beginning, and once again getting emotional because I am going through a lot right now, and all this while I still have no idea how much money Hertz was demanding for the damages. About a week or two later I get a bill from Hertz in the amount of +$1600! The next day I get an email from Visa asking for additional information, which I provided 3 separate times! Always receiving the same boilerplate response explaining that I filed the claim outside of the reporting window time frame and please provide information as to why I didn't report it sooner. Long story short - Visa won't cover it because I did not report the incident within 45 days, despite the fact that I was given wrong information from Hertz. And Hertz just sent me a second letter telling me to pay in full to avoid further negative action. I am 30 years old, with severe psychiatric disabilities, so I cannot work and almost all of my disability benefit money goes directly towards my health care costs. So I certainly do not have over $1600 to pay for damages I didn't do, just because someone didn't know what they were talking about and gave me wrong information. I truly do not know what to do! I am having extreme panic attacks over this whole situation to the point where I may actually cause harm to myself. And no body gives a ***! I miss my Hertz office back in Oxnard, CA....i really dislike the bloody commonwealth!

rental record 16981****

Original review posted by user Sep 29

I rented a car from Hertz in Des Moines and returned it without incident on 08/29/2016.On 09/29/2016 I received a letter from Viking Billing Company in Eden Prairie, MN stating that "I had either rented a vehicle from Hertz Corporation and returned it with damage, or was involved in and accident with a Hertz Corporation vehicle." Hmmm the word EITHER really bothers me because it indicates there was damage to another vehicle in that parking lot.

I am a former auto rental agent, approximately 25 years ago, and I know that rental employees are NOT perfect drivers, and often get in a hurry shuttling cars around the lot when business picks up. I know the vehicle was undamaged at the time of return, and a representative checked the vehicle in. I think I know exactly what happened, a Hertz employee damaged the vehicle that I had rented while moving it, or another Hertz vehicle in close proximity to where I had parked, struck the vehicle I had returned and damaged it after it was returned.

If a Hertz staff member struck another Hertz rental vehicle, then job preservation kicked in by them remaining silent.

I called Hertz auto rental at the Des Moines airport hoping to speak with someone close to the incident, to find out where the damage was located. I was instead told "We don't have that information. We turn it over to the billing company." That is exactly what I did not want to occur, having to deal with a third party who was completely removed from the situation.

I called Viking Billing and reached voice mail, and left a message. Viking Billing has not returned my call.

Hertz Claim Management - Auto Claim Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My car was hit on december 11, 2016 by a hertz customer. That customer stated he would pay me in a few days and texted that he would send the money via walmart-to-walmart but of course he lied.

I, then filed a claim with Hertz on december 17, 2016 and was informed that someone would contact me withn a week and of course no one contacted me so about 2 weeks later, I contacted Hertz and they told me that my claim was never processed and that they would expedite my claim. Well, after another week or so, I called back and it was still not processed so after speaking to a supervisor, named Andrew Gray, my claim was finally processed and a person named Lauren Wolff called me from Esis on January 7, 2017 claiming that the driver was not the actual renter and that my insurance should cover it and if Hertz is liable then my insurance company would be reimbursed. I've informed her that my car was parked and no one was driving at the time of the accident. The hertz 'customer' was driving hertz's vehicle and broke the passenger's side mirror on my car.

Bottomline, she claims that they were still trying to reach the person driving the car because i had all of his information.

She told me that they are unable to reach him but if they would've processed my claim like they were supposed to then they would've been able to reach the driver and/or renter. Esis and Hertz have very poor customer service when processing claims.

Hertz's antiquated claims process results in legal liability

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My friend was hit and totaled on Jan 29th by a Hertz rental driver here from China. We called Hertz on the spot and they informed us it was covered by their insurance. A wrecker arrived and took the Hertz customer and driver away and left my friend sitting there in the street angry and confused as to why they ignored his inconvenience completely. He was told that it would take 3 to 5 days for the claim to be processed. On the 5th day of being without a vehicle, hearing nothing from their Esis adjuster, and having to pay for his own tow he decided to talk to an attorney and pursue Hertz legally for their customer's liability and their inability to recognize the power of non-customers. Enterprise Rent-a-Car would have expedited this the same day so as to not expose themselves to greater liability as the victim is left holding the bag. Hertz will lose millions annually in legal claims and liability if they continue to move at a snails pace to address a victim's loss/damage.

3rd times a charm

Arrived in Miami around 10:30 pm on October 5th went to get the car we reserved at Hertz. There were 5 agents in the area for the rentals only 2 were with customers, they have the virtual agents available off to the side. there were 5 virtual machines with 2 that worked, well almost worked. One lady was trying to get her care through the virtual agent however, it didnt work. I was the only person in the line at the time and since she was there before me she just stepped right in front of me letting me know the virtual "machines" dont work. So I'm ok with that. When she was called to the desk to speak with a real person for her rental, the lady guiding people to virtual machine came to guide me to the same broken machine and guess what, it didnt work. Although this lady was nice enough she was about to get off work but made sure I got my paperwork for the car I had rented before she left. That was the best part of this experience. I went to get my car with no problems as you know you just go to the car, the keys are in it and you're out. Well as I was driving down the highway to the hotel, the car started swaying a little so I thought maybe its just a little windy out and I'm tired. Well that was only the beginning of this nightmare. We arrived safely at the hotel found some street parking without issue, go to bed, and then get up for the 9am parking enforcement. At that time we notice that the bumper clips were missing on the left front side of the care and and all 4 hub caps were bent. With Matthew on the way, I called Hertz and let them know that I was given a "not so perfect car", they told me I had to contact the road side assistance people, who said bring in the car (after they checked to see if the location was still open due to the hurricane). When we get to the airport and tell them what happen we were told to get another car and dont worry because we didnt damage the car. We got all the necessary paperwork and got another car. So we were on our way to Walmart from the airport and as soon as i get the car over the speed of 30 I hear a noise coming from the front left tire, needless to say I pulled over and it was easy enough just some tape on the tire so i pulled it off. Then walk to the front of the car and the head light on the left side of the car is out. So back to the airport we go in less than 20 minutes. We got back and the one attendant asks whats wrong and the the other attendant says the head light is out. So here we go again with the who in the *** checks these cars when they come and go. There is an attendant in a booth who checks the drivers license with the paperwork to make sure the correct person is driving. But what he doesn't do is check for damage to the leaving vehicle. So twice I got a *** car that I had to take back, the third car I was sure I was not bringing back within the next day so I checked every inch of the car myself. After all that was said and done Hertz called me to ask me how I would like to pay for the damages to the first car I brought back. Really!!!!!! If I had damaged the car why would I bring it back and why would I not sign anything that said I damaged the car and then you let me get a second and third car, and oh wait I didnt pay for your extra insurance either. So we dont settle the score on the first damaged car and you gave me 2 cars after that and then call me to say It was my fault. Yea ok keep waiting on that payment. And the next time in Nevuary when I rent a car from you then we can square up on the first damaged car that you let me almost kill myself in. You're lucky I dont get an attorney and file suit against you for endangering my life with the first defective car.

Hertz Claim Management - Auto Claim Review from Dallas, Texas

I was in my Chevy S10 driving in the left lane I was approaching a traffic light, which was green, (nobody was in front of me) a lady driving a Hertz vehicle attempted a left turn out of the center lane (which is not a turn lane) thereby turning in front of me. I hit her because there was no way I could stop because she was too close when she turned.

I called the number she gave me for the Hertz claims department and have gotten nothing but the run around from them! They seem nice and apologetic about it but my truck is still not fixed and it's been 2 weeks! I'm sick and tired of it! I'm starting to consider getting an attorney! This is complete B.S.!!!

They haven't even sent an adjuster out to look at the *** thing yet! WTF??!!

I was rear-ended by a Hertz rental at a Stop sign. There is not question of liability.

It's been over a month and there is no contact from ESIS to get me a rental car or get repairs. A law suit is imminent to get due attention. It would cost them more attorney fees. What is cheap insurance good for if resources are not directed at claims. (All marriage sound nice, .....

until the divorce.) I will not rent from Hertz, .....

ever! Ref # 415****

We were hit from behind by a hertz transporter. It's been 2 months we still waiting for repairs.

They claim check was sent to another address and now more delays. File a complaint with BBB and government insurance commission.

The licenses should be revoked.

Update on my accident. Now Esis, which is a company that handles Hertz's claims or something, is trying to screw me over.

They're saying there are 2 turn lanes at that intersection which there's not! Even after I've just taken pictures of the intersection and emailed them to Esis!

I'll never rent a vehicle from Hertz! This really *** me off!

*** YOU HERTZ!!! YOU CAN MISS MY ***!!!

Another update on my accident. The lady at Esis faulted me for it I guess apparently because she's claiming there's 2 turn lanes at that intersection which there's not!

Not long after that my insurance lady faulted the lady (I'm using that word rather loosely at the moment because it still *** me off) driving the Hertz vehicle. The lady at my insurance company said to be on the alert because the other lady in the Hertz vehicle could possibly file a lawsuit against me. If she does I will file a countersuit because I have pictures that prove there's only one turn lane there! I've purchased the parts to repair my truck because I'm having to repair it myself.

I will definitely consider filing a complaint with the BBB and the government insurance commission.

How do I contact either one of them? Do either one have a website? I know the BBB does, don't about the government insurance commission.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I dealt with those *** for a good 2 months, I'm sick of it! I wanna just fix my truck and move on!

Oh I also found out that it at least appears that she provided me with false information. She gave me information to file a claim with Hertz, but she didn't purchase the extra insurance from them she had her own insurance.

A Hertz renter backed up into us 9/20. Made claim 10/3 and the representative put down that "we backed up into them"! Adjuster closes case on 10/4 w/o calling us. We have a busted up car, they think its no biggy and claim dept won't change it in computer - we are still waiting on 10/19 for NOW a liability adjuster to call us. NO ONE takes responsibility for the error inputted. Meanwhile we wait..or we could fix ourselves is what Mr. Tonya Clark said..Oh ok then their is nothing for you to fix. NOT!!!
